Probate Associate Attorney

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of probate attorneys and paralegals.
Manage and oversee probate cases across multiple California counties.
Streamline workflows, improve case management systems, and optimize team efficiency.
Collaborate with other practice leads to deliver seamless, full-service client solutions.
Handle probate proceedings, estate administration, and related matters with professionalism and care.
Represent clients with excellence and uphold the firm’s reputation for compassionate, high-quality service.

Qualifications
Licensed California attorney in good standing.
2+ years of probate law experience, ideally across several California counties.
Deep understanding of California probate procedures and estate administration, with the ability to guide others.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and client service skills.

Litigation Paralegal
Description
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You’ll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible.
Responsibilities
Preparing probate petitions and related documents
Filing court documents
Assisting attorneys with all aspects of the case
Ensuring court deadlines are calendared
Implementing systems and procedures to ensure that cases progress smoothly
Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized, so all documents are readily accessible
Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
Coordinate law office activity, including drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
Qualifications
At least 5 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation. Some familiarity with probate litigation cases preferred
Candidates should possess high-level organizational and time-management skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills and a talent for writing and grammar
ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
Must be located in the state of California
Senior Litigation Attorney
Description
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will represent clients in contested probate and trust matters, including disputes involving wills, estates, fiduciary responsibilities, and related civil litigation cases.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of probate, trust, and civil litigation, along with a proven ability to resolve complex legal conflicts. This is a remote position, though our main office is located in San Diego.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in probate litigation matters, including will contests, trust disputes, and estate-related conflicts.
Represent clients in civil litigation cases.
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, petitions, and discovery requests.
Provide guidance to clients on their rights, options, and strategies for resolving estate-related disputes.
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to effectively manage caseloads and meet client needs.
Manage and oversee complex estate and trust litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in California.
10+ years of experience in civil and probate litigation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in court and during negotiations.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Estate Planning Associate Attorney
Description
Our growing firm is seeking a probate attorney who enjoys working in a busy and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will ideally have some familiarity with probate procedures. This is a full-time role. Either remote or based in our San Diego office. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Drafting revocable trusts and related documents
Handling probate cases from start to finish, but under supervision
Managing client relationships
Assisting with business development initiatives
Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws
Draft legal documents, such as pleadings and notices
Complete legal research
Attend probate court hearings on behalf of clients
Qualifications
Able to work independently and as part of a team while handling multiple files
Some experience as an estate planning and probate attorney preferred, but newly admitted attorneys will be considered.
Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as a 3-year law degree from an accredited law school
